More than 150 photographic works by artists from Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City are being displayed at an artistic photography festival that kicked off in Hanoi in May 4.

The photographs, including winners of numerous national and international prizes, feature new perspectives on politics, economics, culture, society, security and defence in Vietnam during its process of international integration.

They also highlight the beauty of the cultures, people and landscapes in the country's Northern, Central and Southern regions.

Vice President of the Hanoi Artistic Photographers Association Nguyen Duc Chinh said the photographs on show were carefully selected and the quality of this year's festival is better than in previous years.

The exhibition will last until May 10. (Source: VNA)
